The codeshare agreement with All Nippon Airways broadens our network connectivity and offers our guests seamless travel experiences and a wider choice of flights between the two countries.

Under this agreement, Air India will add its ‘AI’ designator code to ANA’s flights between Tokyo Haneda and Delhi, as well as Tokyo Narita and Mumbai. Similarly, ANA will add its ‘NH’ designator code to Air India’s flight between Tokyo Narita and Delhi.

A Seamless Travel Experience

Katsuya Goto, Member of the Board and Executive Vice President of Alliances and International Affairs at All Nippon Airways, expressed his optimism about the collaboration. He stated

“This collaboration is a testament to ANA’s commitment to improving the air travel experience for all of its travellers, and we hope this will lead to a seamless travel environment between our two nations.”

The codeshare flight tickets will be available for booking from April 23, 2024, on the websites of both airlines, offering passengers greater convenience and flexibility in planning their journeys.

Fleet Expansion and Interior Redesigning

Air India is set to receive close to 70 new planes by March 2024, including both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft. Furthermore, the airline has allocated $400 million to refurbish the interiors of its planes, ensuring a more comfortable and modern travel experience for passengers.
